The Perfect Chai
HOW TO MAKE THE PERFECT CUP OF CHAI
1¼ cup water
2 heaping teaspoons of Masala Chai (or Coconut or Bengali Chai)
1 cup whole milk (preferably)
Bring the water and tea leaves to a boil. When boiling, add whole milk and return the mixture to a gentle boil and then turn down temperature. Let it simmer and cool for a minute. Strain and add sweetener of choice. Serve and enjoy!

is the word for tea in many parts of the world and plays a very important role in many cultures. Probably the most famous being India’s Chai, a spiced milk tea that has grown in popularity in the West. Which spices are used varies from region and households. The word Masala means a mixture of spice in Hindi. The most common spices include cardamon, cinnamon, ginger, cloves and pepper. It is a superb beverage both warm and iced and provides a sense of well-being and refreshment.
